Featuring original music, an immersive soundscape, and dynamic dialogue brought to life through a unique sonic journey.
The Bacchae was developed remotely amidst a global pandemic with artists in eleven different time zones across nine countries. A newly launched performing arts company of multi-disciplined artists, Exit 11 pioneers a new way of creating theater and liveness across borders.
This original adaptation of Euripedes’ classic text sets the story in a more contemporary environment, blurring the lines between historic eras. Immerse yourself in the duality of instinct versus order, primal versus civilization, and human versus the divine. Exit 11 invites the audience to take a critical look at the power dynamics of gender and discover the political asymmetries of our contemporary society.
